NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

"Certain unorthodox tactics by a local laundry have been looked into and cleaned up with the cooperation of the management," Thaxter Swan '45, Student Council investigator, said last night.

Declining to name the laundry, which has been blacklisted once before by Lehman Hall authorities, Swan said the investigation had been instigated by Freshman complaints against overcharging and lost clothing.

The manager of the laundry yesterday agreed to itemize his lists and said he had ordered 10,00 copies of price lists which will be included in the finished bundles.

Advertisement in future registration CRIMSON issues to avoid contract solicitation was recommended by the Council but no action was taken.

Meanwhile the new Council appointed committee heads for the spring term. Francis D. Fisher '47, was elected chairman of the International Affairs Committee, while Swan will direct the Extracurricular Affairs group.

Jerome Preston, Jr. '44 and John W. McNulty '48 were chosen co-chairmen of the Committee on Curriculum and Tenure, while William L. Bruce '47 will take over supervision of the '47 Class elections.
