Alfred North Whitehead, professor of Philosophy Emeritus, will come out of retirement tonight to speak at 7:15 o'clock in Phillips Brooks House on "Hebrew-Christian Ethics in Administration." His talk will be the first of a series of three discussions on Hebrew-Christian ethics in various fields.

Robert Ulich, professor of Education, will be the second lecturer in the series. He will speak on March 18 on "Hebrew-Christian Ethics in the Teaching Profession." The last lecture will be delivered on March 25 by Roscoe Pound, University professor, who will discuss "Hebrew-Christian Ethics in the Legal Profession."

Whitehead Distinguished Philosopher

Professor Whitehead, a distinguished philosopher, retired in 1937 after 12 years on the University faculty. Previous to coming to Harvard, he had taught at Trinity College, Cambridge, as a lecturer in mathematics and mechanics, and at the University of London he taught mathematics for ten years before becoming Dean of the Faculty of Science there in 1921.

The United Ministry to Students in Cambridge, representing all the Protestant and Jewish ministers to students at the University, is sponsoring the series. The lectures are designed primarily for graduate students, but all members of the University are invited to attend the talks, which will be given in the Parlor of PBH.
