Senator Charles Tobey, Republican of New Hampshire, will receive a barrage of Liberal Union sponsored telegrams today demanding the retention of full rent controls. As the Chairman of the Senate Banking and Finance Committee, Senator Tobey is in a commanding position to push pending legislation for raising rent ceilings.

Forty dollars and 290 signatures were collected in the House dining halls and from local Cambridge people yesterday by the Liberal Union, and 75 telegrams were sent to the Senator. The entire drive was accomplished in the afternoon and evening as the decision of the Finance Committee is expected within the next two days.
