Jayvees Take Babson Five Despite Late Bid In Court Battle Here

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In a wild and woolly game last night, the Crimson Jayvees overcame an aggressive Babson quintet, 53 to 47. The contest at the Indoor Athletic Building was marked by 43 fouls, an average of more than one a minute.

Leading at the half by a score of 25 to 15, Coach Hal Kopp's five had to press in the last quarter as their margin was cut to a mere two point advantage before they pulled away in the closing minutes.

It was the Jayvee's second win over Babson in as many weeks. One reason for victory was the Crimson squad's ability to come through from the foul line. Each team had 26 free throws, but Coach Kopp's five put 17 through the cords, while Babson could only dent the hoop 10 times.
