Harvard Still On Track To Reach Fossil Fuel-Neutral Status by 2026, Sustainability Report Finds
Tiny Trinity College, a small institution with a big basketball team, will furnish the Varsity quintet's last non-Ivy League competition of the season tonight, in an 8:30 o'clock contest at the Indoor Athletic Building.
After tonight's engagement, Coach Bill Barelay's forces have seven games, all against Eastern Intercollegiate League opposition.
The visitors from Hartford, Connecticut, have a season record of eight victories and two defeats. Apparently aware that the Blue and Gold would be hard to beat this year, the team's schedule makers arranged to meet both Harvard and Yale. Trinity will play the Elis next week.
Trinity has lost only to Springfield and Wesleyan, and the only opponent it shares with the Varsity is M.I.T., whom the Hartford squad defeated 52 to 39 in December. The Crimson topped the Techmen, 56 to 33, in the same month.
Barclay Maintains Five
For the Varsity, Coach Bill Barclay will use the same squad which has opened the last four games. Leo Page and Captain Saul Mariaschin will be at forward, George Hauptfuhrer at center and Bill Brady and Chip Gannon at the guards Trinity will counter with Dick Kirby and Harold Hayes at forward, Ed Faber at center, and Jack Mahon and Joe Ponsalle at the guard positions.
There will be no preliminary contest.
