Leverett Five Downs Dunster 39-34 to Take Lead in House League

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Leverett basket men swung into the lead of the House basketball league last night, as they beat down an aggressive Dunster five, 39 to 34 at the Indoor Athletic Building.

Sparked by the tossing of Dick Warren, who played his first game for the Bunnies last night, Leverett was already eight points to the good at half-time. The winning hoopsters stayed in the lead until the closing minutes of the game, when a sudden drive brought Dunster within three points of tying up the contest. High scorer for the evening was Funster John Brunsman with 17 points. Both teams were unbeaten before last night.

In an earlier game, a Lowell House five trimmed Winthrop, 45 to 31, as Fred Donahoe contributed 14 points to the Bell-boy's total. The encounter broke a fourth place tie between the two teams.
