Chief Boston's Varsity wrestlers took four out of eight bouts from the Tigers of Nassau but nevertheless last their third straight match of the season by the score of 16 to 14 because two Princetonians pinned their men while there was only one Crimson fall.
Princeton took the first two bouts of the meet, the 121-pound class where Charles Hall conquered Bill Bluemel by a 4 to 1 count and the 128-pound match where Tiger Al McNulty pinned Pete Knox with an armlock in 1:05 of the second period.
Frank Triakle won the first match for the Crimson when he won the 136-pound weight from Dave Willmer by an easy 6 to 1 decision. In taking the 145-pound class by a very one-sided 12 to 0 decision, Dan Ray three times came within an ace of turning in a fall.
Captain Don Louria beat the Princeton captain Russ Randall in a gruelling 8 to 5 decision for the 155-pound bout while Jim Howard lost to Princeton wristlock specialist Bud Wood in the 165-pound class by a pin in 5:43. Bob Clafin dropped the 175-pound slot to Tiger Mat Atkinson by a 5 to 1 margin.
