If Andover preschoolers find time hanging heavy on their hands tomorrow afternoon, it will be through no fault of the Crimson's Freshman teams. A small army of Yardling trackmen, wrestlers, and basketball players will provide the Academy with a three-ring athletic circus, while attempting to grab Victoria from its traditional rivals.
Meanwhile, farther north, at St. Paul's School, the '50 hockey squad will find itself in a hotbed of secondary school ice finesse. Track coach Ed Flanagan will take 33 men back to the scene of his former coaching successes for competition in the dash, 300, 600, 1000, hurdles, broad jump, high jump, pole vault shot-put and weight throw. George Appel, national scholastic indoor vault king (13 feet six inches), will unfortunately be on the other side.
Johnny Rockwell, who averages 20 points a game, will lead the Freshman quintet against Andover tomorrow. The Yearlings, who were jolted from their winning, merry-go round recently by Exeter, have been working this week against a zone defense similar to the one employed by Andover.
For the undefeated grapplers, three new men, Charlie Heber, Lee Nutt and Frank Harris, will bolster the 175, 145, and 128 pound classes respectively.
