Harvard Students To Vote on Divestment From Israel in Inaugural HUA Election Survey
Exhibiting a typical brand of House basketball, four teams took up the intramural cudgels at the Indoor Athletic Building last night and when the battered gladiators finally admitted that it was time to go home, Leverett House had stepped into a first place tie with Dunster by downing a wideopen Winthrop five 29 to 22 and the Elephants had defeated a gas-house Kirkland gang 44 to 41, to cop their first victory of the race.
Lanky Bob Critchton proved the hero of the day for the Elephants, by-passing his stumbling teammates and stepping over miscellaneous Deacons sprawling after the elusive ball to score 20 points, four of them in a crucial last minute burst of energy.
The lineups: Leverett: lf, Cameron; rf, Butler; c, Thorn; rg, Eder; lg, Hurley. Winthrop: lf, Wade; rf, Lunder; c, Stevens; rg, Nicholson; lg, Free.
Eliot: lf, England; rf, Palmer; c, Critchton; rg, Stout; lg, Farmer. Kirkland: lf, Bessman; rf, Viegas; c, Carlin; rg, Edison; lg, Glynn.
