H.A.A. Tabulates Olympic Moneys

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Responding to an appeal on Yale game applications, University members donated $2756.61 to the 1948 American Olympic team, Carroll F. Getchell, business manager of the Athletic Association announced yesterday.

Harvard-Yale contributions at the November 22 classic totalled over $6000 to swell the College's financial aid to United States athletes competing in London next summer.

1941 Funds Remain

Also included in the fund is a contribution of over $600 given to an Olympic appeal in 1941, but left unused since then.

Kart E. Lieb, president of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, under whose auspices the fund is conducted, announced a $150,000 nation-wide goal. He left the collection methods up to the separate colleges.

Further University contributions may result indirectly if a collection is made at the Boston Athletic Association track games this winter where the College will be represented.
