Five AVC Santas Meet Children at Housing Projects

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Today is "Operation Santa Claus" for five members of the University chapter of the American Veterans Committee who believe that if the mountain could come to Mohammet, Santa Claus can certainly come to 500 children of men of the College.

Mounting their "reindeer," a red, white, and blue-jeep, the Santas will distribute candy and advice to children at Andover Court, Jarvis Court, Holden Green, Shaler Lane and Western Avenue areas, and at Harvardway Extension, all University housing projects.

Veterans Oriented

Although the University will not give course credit, Frederick D. Houghteling '50, Calvin J. Goodman '50, Roy F. Gootenburg '50, Charles Koningberg '50, and Anthony D. Tramontozzi '51 are under the tutelage of a veteran St.Nick who is teaching them Claus manners.

The rookies agree that "at least we won't have to learn to carry a pack."
