Debating Council Will Contend with Socialist Workers

"Capitalism can prevent a third world war" is the resolution which the Debate Council will defend against the Worker's Socialist Party tonight at eight o'clock in the Old South Meeting House.

Excrett B. Matliu '49 and Detlev F. Vagts '49 are the scheduled speakers for Harvard in its third debate against the Socialists. The two previous contests were held last year.

Tomorrow the debating team tackles Brown University in the Large Common Room of Dunster House on the question: Resolved. That price controls on basic commodities be established. Robert K. Kohn '49 and Daniel M. Pierce '49 will upheld the negative is the fifth Ivy League contest for the Debate Council this year.
