Two Yard teams seek tough victories today as the freshman wrestlers tangle with M.I.T in the Indoor Athletic Building at 2:30 o'clock and Moo Berg's quintet ships off to Medford to meet a highly rated tufts five on its home court.
Wrestling mentor Howie Schless will put an inexperienced team on the mat this afternoon. Heiny Dunker, unlimited, had his only experience at Governor Dunker. Andre Sigourney, 155, was captain of the '45 Milton grapplers, while Dave Smith, 136, has wrestled for a YMCU aggregation.
Little Experience
The other five have had little or no experience. They are Jim Fulton, 121; acting captain Bob Abboud, 128; Al Huberman, 145; Dong Campbell, 165; Jim Knight, 175.
The freshman basketball five seek their fourth win in as many starts. They face probably their toughest opponents of the season, according to Coach Berg. "Tufts is tall and fast. Their pivot, Don Goodwin, has been favorably compared to the Cross' star, George Kaffan, and his 6 ft., 5 in, may cause us some trouble," he said yesterday.
