No Harvard fan over and even less of one today, candidate for councilman Michael A. Sullivan made the mistake last night of coming out in favor of his own re-election in Harvard Square.
Before the bespectacled, felthatted orator could fairly launch his speech, a contingent of over 400 University students had gathered about his sound truck. They then proceeded to cheer him lustily each time he opened his mouth.
Indicating the microphone in his hand, Sullivan yelled, "I can make more noise with this thing than all of you can." The welcoming committee accepted this statement as a challenge and the old-time councilman, roundly defeated, ordered his entourage silently from the scene.
