Forcefully demonstrating the results of a year's scouting and planning by hard-thinking quarter J. "Anyface" Carodny '48, shown above as he plunged into thought for the vital tally in Saturday's payoff grid encounter, a highly lubricated Plympton Street aggregation outrushed, outpassed, and out-talked a pawky and uncoordinated crew of Yale Daily Newsmen by a 23 to 2 count.

Scoring early and often, the clearly superior CRIMSON worked from an unbalanced split I formation, sparked by the slick field generalship of-Carodny. The pawky blue were hampered chiefly by slow reflexes, permitting the fleet-fingered Red to execute its plays and submit telegraphic brochures before the defense had time to organize a lead.

The Bowl was flush with cheering spectators as the Carodny to Ludendorff aerial combo clicked on the opening play behind the ubiquitous downfield blocking of 215-pound Donald Coster (215).

Locker rooms were quiet after the Blue-bloody contest was called to a halt by doctors. The Big Red cohorts accepted their win as a matter of course, and sat around the training tables quietly after their standard fifth of physiotherapy. (Training is being maintained because of anticipated Post-Season Bowl bids.)

Player interviews were granted by playing-manager Carodny for the first time this year. He himself permitted his usual taciturnity to give way to a mellow expansiveness in summarizing the game: "Sic transit..." he smiled coyly.
