Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
House champion in the local intramural grid season, Eliot continued its football mastery by downing Yale's Saybrook College 8 to 0 Friday afternoon to provide the highpoint of eight House games, from which the Crimson emerged with three victories, four defeats, and one tie.
The Mastodons tallied twice in the second quarter, capitalizing on intercepted passes and fumbles by the Elis' league-leaders to push over a T.D. and a safety. Austie Lyne plunged over for six points after passes to Dave Abbot and Eddie Carrol and an end sweep by George Golphin had brought the ball to the one.
The rest of the game was evenly fought, with Saybrook dominating play a large part of the time, but a strong Eliot line held at the crucial moments.
Leverett, Dudley Triumph
Leverett House and the commuters of Dudley pulled down the only other Crimson victories, each squeaking by with 6 to 0 scores. A long pass from Leverett back Bob Zimmerman to Bill MacVicar put the Bunnies in scoring position, and a second heave to end Pete Duble was all it took to quell Timothy Dwight.
Again it was a passing attack that accounted for Dudley's win over Silliman, as Dave Bishop uncorked a 50-yard toss to Bob Dunean. The commuters almost racked up another score in the dying minutes after a 32 yard Bishop run, but the Elis held on their own 8.
Deacons Tied
A tough Calhoun line was Kirkland's nemesis as the Deacons were bottled up for a scoreless tie which almost turned into the fourth Crimson victory when the Harvards penetrated to the enemy's ten before petering out.
On the losing side of the ledger, Winthrop absorbed the worst drubbing as Pierson College suddenly sprang to life in the second half to score 26 points while holding the Deacons scoreless. A desperate Puritan drive in the last moments of play backfired with an 85-yard return of a pass interception.
Near Miss for Adams
The Gold Coasters of Adams came close to victory, dominating the offensive play in the first half, but when Jonathan Edwards recovered a fumble on the Crimson's 30-yard line it drove over for six points and the only score of the game.
