Electricians, Decrease Student's Exam Load

Students in the Houses who wanted to know "where Harvard was when the lights went out" Wednesday night got their answer yesterday afternoon when the lights went out again. Harvard was right on the job.

The building and grounds department discovered during the initial blackout that a transformer in a vault under Winthrop House was overloaded and was blowing out the system. Yesterday, electricians went down to move some of the load to another transformer and had to put the lights out again for a few minutes.

The horde of men studying for hour exams who phoned the janitors during the interruptions were assured that the situation was well in hand. The failure of the system in Standish Hall of Winthrop House last week had no connection to the transformer problem.
