Final screening of applications for the ten-man College delegation to a New England regional convention of 35 educational institutions at Mt. Holoyke next weekend will be held tonight at Phillips Brooks House from 5 to 6 o'clock, Council treasurer Ray A. Goldberg '48 announced last night.
Goldberg and his two fellow examiners, Robert K. Bingham '48 and William D. Weeks' '49, are hoping to have the necessary slate of five representatives and alternates prepared to recommend to the full Council meeting an hour later.
As one of the men under consideration for the Holyoke mission, Frederick D. Houghteling '50 has been asked to present a preliminary constitutional draft for the Saturday N.S.A. organizational convention.
The treasurer will also be able to report returns above expectation on the service Fund drive, with $2,500 collected in addition to the original $7,000 contributed at registration and the $1,000 that subsequently came into the Council coffers by mail.
Most phenomenal individual effort among his canvassers, said Goldberg last night, was the work of Robert Knox '51, whose soliciting of Lionel Hall's B-entry netted a $105 total, one dollar more per resident than the requested minimum contribution of $7.
