Three Providence Men Win Smith Scholarship

Three additional winners of scholarships under the bequest of Charles H. Smith, Providence, R.I., businessman, were announced by the University yesterday, joining the eight recipients made public last July.

All, from Providence public high schools according to the terms of the grant, the trio are: Donald A. Blake '48, who has entered the Business School; Edward F. Burke '49 and Richard Reid '49, both of Classical High School in Providence.

Future awards will be made annually to future high school graduates from the Rhode Island capital city.
