Financial Woes Make Band Sing for Supper

After a southern tour only a shade more rewarding than the gridiron expedition, the University Band has scheduled an unprecedented football concert for the Dartmouth weekend in an attempt to reform straggling lines.

The band not only arrived late for a Capital steps performance but also saw its expected financial coup through the Virginia hitherlands fail to materialize. Based on the familiar Winter Song, a new Dartmouth medley will highlight the October 24 program in Sanders Theater.

The red-coated musicians will also offer their version of the Prokofieff March, the introduction to Act III of Lohengrin, and an array of college songs. Tickets are on sale at the Coop and Briggs and Briggs.
