With a succession of passed and long runs the Junior Varsity football team coasted to a 38 to 0 win over a First Naval District team last Saturday. Coach Chief Boston used every player on the bench as the Jayvees scored in each period.

The first tally came early in the opening quarter when Frank Miklos, one of last year's Varsity quarterbacks, tossed to Bill Fitz for 44 yards and six points. A four line buck by Sam Adams, the former Tufts fullback, chalked up the second score.

Galloping 72 yards behind good blocking, Mel Freedman came up with the best run of the day and the third touchdown after intercepting a Naval aerial in the second period.

In the third quarter a pass from Freedman to Paul Schaffer in the end zone and a lateral from Miklos to Schaffer on the two yard line accounted for two more Jayvee tallies.

The sixth and final score came in the closing minutes of the last quarter when Pierce Leavitt took a 15 yard pass from Walter "Luke" Lubkeman for 50 yards.

Next scheduled game is with the Dartmouth Junior Varsity, October 24.
