Germanic Museum Again Open After Wartime Use by Army

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Germanic Museum has opened its doors to the public for the first time since early in the war when the building became headquarters for the Army's School for Overseas Administration.

Officers were trained for allied military government positions in Europe and the Far East with courses emphasizing the geography and social and political institutions of the areas under scrutiny. The school was discontinued in August, 1945, on orders from the office of the Provost Marshall General.
