The Farnsworth Reading Room on the main floor of Widener has been opened for the first time since 1942, Keyes D. Metcalf, director of the University Library, announced today.

Devoted entirely to novels, magazines, and other light works, the Farnsworth Room will be furnished with easy chairs and sofas.
