100 Hopeful Freshmen Resume Practice for Opening Game After Recess for English A

Freshman football took a back seat to English A yesterday afternoon as Coach Henry Lamar's first post war session ended in a belated dash to a conference at Warren House.

Despite the temporary setback, Lamar will try again this afternoon, hoping to begin organization of the hundred hopefuls who turned out. The program for today includes final distribution of equipment and preliminary field drills in preparation for the October 12 opener against Andover.

As far as could be learned yesterday, the squad will include no great football names or prep school stars to carry the ball for the Crimson, in a schedule which includes Exeter, Dartmouth, Brown, and Yale, in addition to Andover.
