Ragnar R. Woxen, president of the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, visited the University yesterday to study laboratory facilities as an aid in planning an enlargement of the institute he heads.
Woxen was greeted at 10 o'clock by Richard A. Waite, Assistant Dean of the College. He conferred with Frederick V. Hunt, associate professor of Physics and Communication Engineering, and Elmer C. Easton, lecturer on Electrical Engineering. After a short press interview, he attended a luncheon given in his honor at the Faculty Club.
Two South African physicists, S. M. Maude, director of the New National Physics Laboratory, and his assistant, A. R. Guelke, visited the University Friday to study physics facilities.
