Union's Dining Hall Open to College Now

For newcomers anxious to sample typical Harvard menus in the next few days, the University announced yesterday that the Union dining hall will be available for all student diners until Monday. On that day, at breakfast, the four House dining halls to be operated this summer will open their doors.

These Houses, all of whose dining halls are served by the central University kitchen, will be Lowell, Leverett, Winthrop and Kirkland. Men billeted in the Yard will be assigned to Houses for their meals.

Members of the two Houses whose kitchens will remain closed until fall have been scheduled to take their meals in the following dining halls: Adams House men will eat at Lowell, and Dunster residents at Leverett, Eliot House, unoccupied for the summer term, will be reopened for the fall term.

After the Sunday evening meal, the Union dining hall will serve only graduate students, but it is expected that this traditional Freshman shrine will be returned to the Yardlings in September.
