The Business School Alumni Association held its Sixteenth Annual Conference Saturday to discuss "The Global Problems of Peace." The program, under the direction of Eldon C. Shoup, of Boston, featured talks by Dean David of the Business School and Dean Williams of the Graduate School of Public Administration.
The Conference, designed to bring returning alumni up to date on the activities of the Business School as well as on the economic and business conditions now prevailing throughout the world, included discussions on such topics as "The Present Labor Crisis," "The Outlook for, Capitalism," and "Atomic Power."
Speakers during the morning were: Edmund P. Learned, professor of Business Administration; Benjamin M. Selekman, Kirztein Professor of Labor Relations; and Paul G. Hoffman, president of the Studebaker Corporation.
During the afternoon session the participants were: Dean Williams; Clarence W. Farrier, assistant to the president of Gunnison Homes, Inc.; J. Anton de Haas, William Zeigler Professor of International Relationships; and Harry A. Winne, vice-president in charge of engineering policy of General Electric Company.
