Dr. Leo I. Beranek, Guggenheim Research Fellow at the University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Science Monday by Cornell College, Iowa.
The degree was presented in honor of Dr. Beranek's "contribution to the war effort as Director of Research and Sound Control at Harvard and in recognition of his achievements in theoretical and applied acoustical science."
