Idler Presents Novel Double Fare Tonight

Idler, the Radcliffe Dramatic Club, takes a pioneering step in presenting its double bill, "The Tinker's Wedding" and "Oedipus Rex" tonight at 8:30 o'clock at Agassiz Theatre. The first, a comedy by the Irish playwright, J. M. Synge, is having its American premiere with this performance.

The Yeats translation of "Oedipus" has rarely been produced in this country. Idler precedes a coming "Oedipus" production by the Old Vie in New York with Lawrence Olivier.

The Theban king will be portrayed by Henry P. Robbins '48, and playing opposite him in the role of Jocasta will be Anna Prince, seen previously this year before Idler footlights in "The Importance of Being Earnest."

Seabury Quinn '46, accustomed now to clerical garb from his role in the same Wilde comedy. "Earnest," again is cast as a priest. The two tinkers are Charles Raphael '49 and Eleanor Mallard.
