A last-minute withdrawal by the University has cancelled plans for tonight's City Planning Board consideration of the re-zoning petition for the Botanical Gardens-Observatory areas. The Corporation informed the Board yesterday that it wished the request tabled for the present.
According to Aldrich Durant '02, Business Manager of the University, the action was taken because the petition as handed in originally was no longer accurate. Plans for proposed apartments in the areas in question are still in a state of flux, he said, and a new petition will be entered as soon as they become definite.
