DOJ Sues Boston and Mayor Michelle Wu ’07 Over Sanctuary City Policy
Bolstered by three former All-Americans and a couple of 200 pound defensemen, the Boston Lacrosse team bull-dozed its way through a hard fighting Crimson outfit and won by a score of 12-3 on its home field yesterday afternoon.
The game, rough all the way, almost got out of control several times when questionable blocks and illegal stick play were employed by members of both teams. Tough body checking and wild scrapping for loose balls were the orders of the day.
The Crimson defensemen were unable to stop the quick-breaking plays of the experienced Boston attackmen, who scored consistently in each period. Forward Joe Cohen netted three goals for the victors.
Close guarding tactics by the Boston defense effectively stifled the Crimson forwards who could rarely set up their plays. Pete Grady, Ned Dewey, and Bill Potter scored the goals for the Crimson.
