Spring intramural athletics got under way this week at Soldiers Field with three high-scoring baseball games. In a wide open contest last Tuesday which featured loose fielding and heavy hitting the Dunster softball team downed Lowell House 17 to 16. Yesterday a strong Winthrop softball team was shaded 10 to 9 by a steady Kirkland nine.

In the hardball league a confident Lowell nine was clubbed 15 to 5 by Adams House. Two Gold Coast pitchers held the Lowell hitters to four singles while the Adams nine lashed one eleven hits including two triples.
