Marking the official end of the winter sports season, the Varsity basketball team held its annual dinner at the Harvard Club of Boston Tuesday night, while Coach Hal Ulen's swimmers are preparing for their banquet tonight.

Gold basketballs were awarded to the seven members of the team who played against Yale, while Wyndol Gray and Saul Mariaschin received silver basketballs for having been named to the all-New England squad. Coach Floyd Stahl was presented with a pen-and-pencil set by the team, and Gray received a civilian shirt-and-tie outfit.

Tonight Ted Norris, standout Freshman star of the swimming team, will receive the Eugene B. Wyman trophy for having scored the highest number of points in dual meet competition this year. Norris, who did not lose a race all season in his own event, the 440, placed third in the N.C.A.A. national championship 1500-meter competition.
