Stickmen Outpaced In Tufts Scrimmage

Wood, Frank Score Against Well-Oiled Jumbo Machine

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

"More men, more experience, and more goals are what we need," remarked Coach Bob Maddux after Saturday's lacrosse scrimmage with Tufts at Soldiers' Field. Showing flashes of form and teamwork, the Crimson team played a fast, hard-checking game but was unable to match the pace of the Tufts outfit, last year's New England champs.

George Wood and Murray Frank contributed goals to the Harvard cause, but the Crimson defense could not halt the well-coordinated Jumbo first team attack which scored almost at will. Next Saturday the team will open its season against Deerfield Academy at Deerfield.
