University men who were former navy pilots, of either officer of enlisted status, may have their own air group on a carrier, if they take advantage of a Naval Air Reserve Training Program outlined this week by authorities at the Squantum Naval Air Station.

"We have plenty of planes down here, both combat types and trainers," said Lieutenant Commander Robert A. Jordan, public information officer of the station, "and we are anxiouus to have University men who were navy pilots come down here and fly them." The pilots may fly up to six hours per month between now and July, when the air groups will be organized. At that time, the men will have the opportunity to join one of two Naval Air Reserve Training Programs-the ready reserve, involving eight hours of flying per month; or the standby reserve, requiring four hours per month. Only former navy pilots are eligible.
