Legal foundations for the war crime trials taking place in Nuremburg will be presented tonight by Colonel Murray Bernays, advisor to Supreme Court Justice Robert Jackson, and Leo Gross, professor of International Law at Tufts' Fletcher School, in New Lecture Hall at 8 o'clock.
Tonight's forum is the first in a series to be presented by a group of 500 Law School students dedicated by Zechariah Chafee, Jr., Langdell Professor of Law, to those 93 law students and graduates "who did not return from the war."
Dean Landis recently wrote to Jerome L. Rappaport H. head of the Law School Forum, commending the group for its fostering "an aliveness to the world, its pressing issues, and its challenges, (which) is almost essential to a proper appreciation of law."
