Class of 1949 Picks 10 Men For Officials

A new 10-men Freshmen Class Committee was elected yesterday when 320 of approximately 650 eligible members of the Class of '49 went to the polls at the various House dining hall ballot boxes. Primarily chosen to make arrangements for the annual Freshman Jubilee to be held during April or May, the new committee will hold its first meeting Monday evening at 7 o'clock in the council room of Phillips Brooks House.

Leading the list of those elected, with 122 votes, is Gunther K. Rosinus of Indianapolis and Kirkland House. Other members of the committee are Luis A. Amescua of Mexico, D.F. and Winthrop House; David H. Barnhouse, of Doylestown, Pennsylvania and Winthrop House; Bernard A. Edison of Brentwood, Missouri and Kirkland House; John B. Jones, Jr. of Radnor, Pennsylvania.

Also Townsend J. Knight of New York and Kirkland House; John K. Lally of University City, Missouri and Adams House; Lawrence F. O'Donnell of Taunton and Dunster House; Buel E. Smith of Hempstead, New York and Kirkland House and Richard W. Wallach of New York and Dunster House.

"I am confident that this committee will organize a successful jubilee and put out a fine Redbook," commented Arthur C. McGill '48, student council adviser to the committee. He pointed out that the committee will elect its own chairman and will appoint additional members from winter entrants of the Class of 1949 in the near future.
