On behalf of the students, the Council report recommending a Student Activities Center as the University was memorial was formally presented to President Conant Tuesday by Thomas L. P. O'Donnell '47, Council president.
The report sketched needs of various groups, pointed out that a poll of undergraduates taken last spring registered "almost unanimous" support, and declared that "the Center would serve as a three-dimensional reminder to all students of the valuable part played in the Harvard community by the activities."
Ultimate selection of a memorial will presumably be made by the alumni, and it is expected that the Council proposal will be presented at meetings to be hold in June for their consideration.
