Rising from the mediocrity that had marked its earlier season play, a determined Winthrop team upset previously undefeated Leverett yesterday, 38 to 27, in the final game of the regular intramural basketball season. The championship contests, originally scheduled for tomorrow, have been moved up to Thursday to enable a playoff of the tied House leaders.
