A week before the Yale meet next Saturday, an almost exclusively Freshman Jayvee swimming team whipped St. George's School 49 to 17. Highlight of the afternoon was Chuck Holzier's time of one minute, seven and two-tenths seconds in the 100 yard breast stroke, a Freshman record breaker for that event.
The pace was set when John Watkins took first in the 50 yard free style, and kept up by Bill Rickenbacker, Ted Norris, and Frank Krayer in the 100 yard, 200 yard, and back-storke, respectively.
St. George's took the medley relay, but was set back for good when the Jayvees won the freestyle relay, and Tom Drohan piled up a total of 48 points to come out on top in diving.
