Polities will come to the fore tonight in the Union Common Room when the Union Political' Discussion group will hold its second meeting of the season, according to Robert E. Dyson '50, chairman of its steering committee.
This week's subject will be the recent coal strike and whether the government should have the right to use injunctions against labor unions. The tentative plans call for both sides to be given first similiar to a debate, and afterward a general discussion.
Plans were announced also for two other discussion groups, one dealing with science and the other with the humanities. Although no date for the first meetings has been scheduled as yet, eventually, all three groups will convene bi-weekly, and every fourth meeting will be a joint meeting. The steering committee has made arrangements for subgroups to engage common rooms in the Union and discuss more specialized topics.
