Freshman Swimmers Meet Andover Today

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Twenty-seven Freshman swimmers will depart for Andover this afternoon for the informal practice meet in preparation for the season opener against the M.I.T. Freshmen December 18.

Regular meet events will be altered slightly to enable all of the men, some of whom have never swam competitively, to take part. Four upper Freshmen, Grover, Sicular, Phinny, and Chamberlin, are expected to carry the brunt of the load until they join Coach Hal Ulen's varsity in February, although the lineup for today will not be decided upon until immediately before the meet.

After two full months of practice, the team began swimming against the time clock this week. Coach Bill Brooks announced himself well pleased but declined to make any predictions about his completely untried group.
