"The present domestic crisis and the international problem are basically the same," and Michael Karpovitch, associate professor of History, in an analysis of current events of the week before the Radcliffe League for Democracy at Briggs, Hall, last night.
"In both cases the interests of the whole must be reconciled with the interests of a small part without infringing on the rights of either. On one hand we have the world and its component nations, on the other, our nation and its mine workers."
He discussed the history of organized labor and its development as a powerful force in our social system.
Charles R. Cherington, assistant professor of Government, will analyze events of the week at the meeting Thursday.
