Wright Talks Tonight On General Education

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Professor Benjamin F. Wright, professor of Government and Chairman of the Committee on General Education, will give an address tonight on "the Plan of General Education at Harvard" in the Union Common Room at 7:30 o'clock.

His address is designed to give members of the Freshman Class an opportunity to learn some of the details of the program of General Education and to clear up and confusion about the new courses that they may take.

A discussion period will follow Wright's talk, with panels organized to consider Science, Politics, History, Economics, Government, Literature, Art, Philosophy, and Religion.

The General Education program was approved by the Faculty of Arts and Sciences in October, 1945. Although the courses are designed eventually to become part of a compulsory program, the present General Education series is purely optional.
