Union, HAA Facilities Scheduled to Be Open Throughout Vacation

House dining halls will be closed during the Christmas recess, while the Union dining hall will serve Yardlings and House members remaining in Cambridge, Roy L. Westcott, dining service manager, announced yesterday.

All students will automatically be relieved of board charges after dinner on Saturday until the House dining facilities reopen with breakfast on Monday, January 6, Westcott said. Those desiring to eat at the Union will be able to sign for meals at the regular board rate.

H.A.A. officials also disclosed that the Indoor Athletic Building, Dillon Field House, and the University squash courts will be open from 1 to 6 o'clock on the afternoons of December 23, 26, 27, 30, 31, and January 2 and 3. The Lowell and Leverett squash courts will also be available.

Only Lowell has decided as yet to keep its library open during the vacation, though Dunster may follow suit if sufficient demand exists. Eliot will permit each member to borrow three books for the two week period.
