Alumni Will Elect Five To Board of Overseers

Alumni will elect five men by postal bailot to fill vacancies on the Harvard Board of Overseers, the nominating committee of the Alumni Association announced Saturday. The Overseers will be picked from a field of 14 candidates to serve six-years terms. Results will be announced on Commencement Day, June 5 1946.

The candidates are:

George P. Denny '09, Walter S. Franklin '06, Robert S. Gross '19, Francis W. Hatch '19, Amory Houghton '21, R. Keith Lane '22, Jacob J. Kaplan '08, Dr. Oliver L. Loring '26,Thomas H. Mahoney '06, J Lawrence Pool '28, Clarence B. Randall '12, Joseph P. Sprang, Jr., '15, Lawrence Terry '22, George Whitney '07.

Graduates will also select four directors-at-large from 11 candidates for the Alumni Association, each to serve a three-year term. The selections will also be announced next June.
