"Acapulco or bust" cried 80-odd 'Cliffedwelling mermaids this week as they breasted, crawled, and dog-paddled through Radcliffe's annual marathon which kept the Mason Street pool in a state of frenzy for five hectic afternoons. The distance from here to Acapulco was as nothing to the Amazons, since each length of the pool was considered 12 miles.
While the soggy yet undismayed Aquacade hopefuls piled up lap after lap, such un-ladylike comments as "damn" and "Oh Harvard" reverbated around the crowded pool.
The Radcliffe A. A. did not reveal why it had chosen Acapulco as their year's goal. "Maybe they wanted to go sight-seeing," the harrassed gymnasium janitor suggested, as one Senior, disgruntled by a Sophomore victory, muttered: "I didn't want to go to old Mexico anyway."
