Last of the series of University art exhibits is being held this week in the Union Common room. The display, which follows other art showings among members of the Houses, Yardlings and Commuters, features the artistic talents of graduate students.
Winners in the fields of oil and water color paintings, photographs, sketches, and sculpturing and named by a board of faculty judges including Professors Conant, Doknatel, Pope, and Carpenter. The best work from the fall exhibits will go on display in the Fogg useum some time after Christmas.
Most of the material presented in the 40 works on display in the Union is based on subjects acquired during the students' service in the armed forces. Other exhibits portray local scenes while some are distinctly surrealistic in chaster.
