Heads of Department To Vote on Graduate Reading Requirement

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Following a policy of Cooperation with the administration in solving graduate student problems, the Graduate Advisory Council at a meeting last night proposed polling the heads of Departments concerning language requirements and concluded a report on Scholarships.

Faculty opinions on the language requirements will be sought on two counts: 1) desirability of the rulings as they stand new; 2) the advisability of setting up some form of tutoring or instruction for the examinations.

The Committee on Economic Problems, in complying with a request made by Dean Wild, submitted its recommendations on scholarships in the form of a report, which is to be carried to the administration this afternoon for discussion and criticism before being released.
