Drvaric Out for Two Weeks; Coulson Lost for Ten Days

Hour examinations and injuries are not making Coach Dick Harlow's task of preparing for the Crimson's engagement with Dartmouth at Hanover on Saturday any easier. The head coach revealed yesterday that Emil Drvaric, who suffered a leg injury against Rutgers, has been lost to the squad for at least two weeks, and his status for the Yale game is doubtful, while Walter Coulson, also hurt in the Scarlet contest, will be side-lined for a minimum of ten days.

To meet this situation, Harlow announced that he intends to switch Ned Dewey from his present tackle post to that of running guard, a position he filled on last season's eleven. Howie Houston, whom Harlow rates as his best reserve lineman, will fill Dewey's spot in a move intended to field the best possible eleven men at the coach's disposal against the Indians.

Another doubtful performer against the Big Green in Leo Flynn, whose availability for the Dartmouth game will not be known until the middle of the week.

To make things even more interesting, the pressure of hour exams will prevent the first team from working together as a unit all week, since five or six Varsity players will be excused from every remaining session before the squad leaves for Hanover on Friday morning in order to study.

There weren't enough Crimson regulars at practice yesterday to make up two complete Varsity elevens, and the team which Harlow used in a defensive scrimmage against Dartmouth T-formation plays was a mixture of B, C, and Junior Varsity team members.

Pass offense occupied most of the Crimson's time yesterday afternoon, and Harlow had Dave Farrell, Junior Varsity captain and a good forward passer, running with his "A" eleven. No permanent changes, except for Dewey's move to guard, have been announced for the starting lineup as yet.
